Siddharth Vishwanath
I am a Stefan E. Warschawski :Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at UC San Diego, mentored by Ery Arias-Castro. My research interests lie in the intersection of topological data analysis, statistical learning theory, and probabilistic methods.
I completed my Ph.D. at Penn State University, advised by Bharath Sriperumbudur, where I was honored to receive the Alumni Association Dissertation Award. At Penn State, I was also a research assistant and consultant with the Statistical Consulting Center.
Prior to joining Penn State, I worked as a quantitative researcher at Goldman Sachs from 2016 to 2017, and as a model validation quant at Nomura from 2015 to 2016. I graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur with a degree in Mathematics and Statistics.
